Bourjois Wet/Dry Eyeshadow

Yes, it was love at first sweep when my cheek first met Bourjois Blush, but it just wasn't so with their Wet/Dry Eyeshadow.

I picked up Beige Rose, an antique cream pearl shade. And, while it makes for a subtle brow highlight, any attempts to wear it on the lid have been futile. Barely any powder gets picked-up by even a stiff shadow brush and any color that makes it onto the lid disappears shortly thereafter.

Perhaps some of the darker shadows would perform better or be an alternative for those who, newly venturing beyond neutrals, just want a sheer wash of color.

Bourjois Blush

Although I had seen Bourjois products in Sephora for a while, it wasn’t until I took a trip to Paris that I decided to try out this line. (In France, Bourjois is not only sold in Sephora, but in drug stores as well). This brand was started in 1863, as an answer for stage actresses who were fed-up with wearing heavy, greasy makeup. All the powder blush we've been taking for granted all these years? Well we owe it all to Bourjois, the first brand to place a powder blush on the market. A major milestone for the makeup world!

I purchased a blush in Lilas D'Or 33, a golden pinky brown shimmer. The result? An enchanting rose color that radiated the color of love. These tiny blushers pack tons of pigment and impart a gorgeous, sheer glow thanks to their micro-pearl finish.

After a couple swirls of Bourjois blusher on my cheeks, I feel a little bit closer to capturing that je ne sais quoi of French beauties!
