Pearl Protein Complex just sounds too good to pass up, doesn't it? Well, the Vive Pro Nutri Gloss line from L'Oreal is good, but it's nothing to write home about.
I've been using the products formulated for medium to long hair that is dry/damaged. The pearl protein complex is supposed to protect hair from damage by strengthening it and adding moisture.
These products left my hair with a normal level of softness and shine, but nothing out of the ordinary. The scent is good and it didn't weight my hair down or build up with prolonged use.
The best of the lot is the conditioning treatment, which L'Oreal recommends using weekly. It definitely delivered more moisture, softness and
shine than the regular conditioner. I ended up using the shampoo and the treatment together several washes in a row, and left the conditioner in the caddy.

Phyto Phytocitrus Vital Radiance Mask

Fragile, frazzled and broken hair gets a serious therapy session with this mask. A blend of plant butters and grapefruit extract works to hydrate, smooth and provide UV protection.
During the color-treating process, hair scales open, zapping shine, strength and softness. The acidity from the grapefruit closes the cuticles, making hair smoother and more brilliant.
This mask gives me softness and shine, but best of all my breakage-prone ends are rejuvenated and elasticity is restored to my stressed hair. Now that is some real progress.
Plus it's super convenient to use. Unlike masks that require 20 minutes or more, this one takes as little as 3-5 minutes. So while you're doing the lather and shave on your gorgeous gams, this mask is busy working its magic.

Hollywood Beauty Olive Cholesterol Deep Conditioning Creme

Why do I love Hollywood Beauty's Olive Cholesterol Deep Conditioning Creme so? Because it is dirt cheap ($2.99 for 20 oz), leaves my locks lustrous and smells GLORIOUS.
This deep conditioner makes strands glossy with a blend of oils including Olive, Jojoba, Coconut and Avocado. It's also bursting with botanical extracts like Rose Mary, Chamomile, Calendula, Sage, White Nettle, and Great Burdock and Aloe Vera.
After using this product, my hair feels soft and looks as if I've had a glaze. It leaves behind a fabulous, indescribable scent, sans any residue.
This product is too good and too much of a bargain to pass up. So gather up the loose change at the bottom of your purse, and hie thee to the nearest drugstore!

Frederic Fekkai Hair Mask with Shea Butter

The Frederic Fekkai Hair Mask with Shea Butter is good, but it doesn't exactly work wonders, either. Yes it softens, adds shine and has a great scent, but Fred, I was expecting more: tumbling, glossy hair that looked so good it would stop traffic-more.
The shea butter and macadamina nut oils do give it a terrifically rich texture. However, this deep conditioner only marginally improves hair; it's not going to transform your hair into shampoo ad-worthy hair.
I think this would be a great weekly deep conditioner for normal to dry hair. But if you have brittle or severely damaged hair, you should pass.
